This course is Six half hour swim lessons where the parent and child learn together under instructor supervision. Acclimate your child to water and learn to instruct your child in the areas of bubble blowing, reaching, pulling and kicking. Parent must participate with their child in the water. Child must wear a swim diaper or rubber pants over their diaper. Make up classes are for cancellations by the Recreation Department ONLY.**Parents must get in the water with the child.**

Dolphins is a non-competitive pre-team program for children who have progressed out of swim lessons but are not ready for the competitiveness of a swim team. They will learn the fundamentals of competitive strokes, starts and turns. Participant must be able to swim one length of the pool using front crawl and one length back stroke. The staff will evaluate the children the first day of class.

The Barracuda Tri Youth Development will focus on teaching the sport. Athletes will learn the details of each discipline; swim, bike, and run, as well as how to “transition” from one sport to the next. All training will be done in a manner that is Safe, Educational, and always FUN, but with the goal of learning the skills necessary to race, and how to push through challenges. Athletes will gradually be introduced to more advanced training and racing strategies to help them perform in competitive youth age group races and Super Sprint distance events.Practices take place twice per week. Our adult swim lessons include beginner and intermediate/advanced levels. So, whether you started learning to swim as a child, but never quite mastered it, or are looking to improve your current skills, we’re here to help you learn to swim in a supportive environment. Adults who have limited or no swim experience will become comfortable in the water, learn basic swimming techniques, and water safety. Adults who wish to advance their swimming skills can do so under the guidance of a professionally trained instructor. It’s never too late to learn how to swim!
